Professional photographers need high quality professional photo albums that will exceed their portrait clients’ expectations. CMYK books have proliferated the consumer market with the aid of the Internet. Please be forewarned. Consumers have now been educated about Internet photo products. Studios offering the same Internet consumer proof books, even with professional images, at a significant markup just does not make economic or marketing sense. Even giants like Kodak and Fuji had realized that differentiating photographic films and papers between the professional and amateur markets made sense. Studios must continue to differentiate themselves from the amateur consumer or perish. Nor does marketing "out of the box" mean to negate "true and tested" marketing concepts. Keep in mind that quality, hand made photo albums will become life time memory books containing all the memorable poses that you, the professional, worked so hard to create. And 20+ years from now that CD you might have sold will have deteriorated to the point that images may no longer be viewable or technology will have changed so much that today’s CD will be obsolete. |
